Head of Digital Solutions & Business Applications, Europe
DP World are currently recruiting for a Head of Digital Solutions & Business Applications, Europe working on a remote basis with a base at our Regional Head Office in London. In this highly important position you will be responsible for managing the overall of Technology planning, design, implement, execution, delivery and support of a best-practice and fit-for-purpose Digital Solutions & Business Applications Service.
About the role:
- Lead and manage the Technology Digital Solutions and Business Applications organisation
- Drive Technology Digital Solutions and Business Applications Service Delivery for business units & Europe Region
- Enhance the use of technology to enhance effectiveness
- Manage Technology change for internal operational customers and supporting customer operations
- Ensure appropriate usage of standards and best practices across digital solutions and business support applications
- Lead digital solutions and business applications team within Europe region (including Functions, Contract Logistics, Freight and Ports & Terminals).
- Acts as the focal point in Europe region in relation to digital solutions and business applications activities with extensive internal client interaction, obtaining requirements, mapping against existing platforms available and then planning and implementing a solution
- Make strategic recommendations to clients for new products and applications based on business requirements and/or needs.
- Assesses change impact and readiness and plans change activities accordingly to ensure change in mindsets, skills, and behaviours. Engages with team and stakeholders to co-design a change journey to achieve the vision and strategy
- Develop scope, manage, and prioritise Transformation and Digitisation Technology Projects to ensure delivery on time and on budget
What will you bring:
- Significant experience working in a multi-national enterprise environment with a broad knowledge of IT technologies
- Experience in implementation of modern Web/ SPA, LowCode/NoCode and native mobile solutions
- Management, leadership skills and experience of both central and remote IT teams
- Excellent analytical and organisational skills
- Understanding of software development and software development lifecycle
- Project management methodologies and tools
- Commercial awareness and understanding of business needs
- Ability to motivate employees, handle difficult employee relations issues and create a culture that supports high employee morale;
- Proven IT project management and planning skills, with demonstrable success in delivering large IT projects within time and budget constraints;
- Ability to quickly understand and disseminate client requirements to provide the most effective solution;
- Exceptional analytical skills and ability to troubleshoot problems;
- Have an awareness of current and emerging technologies, and industry best practices
